Day three
-For all of you who have a dog...why not try and teach him/her some tricks today? Some catz might want to try as well. What tricks can you get your pet to do? You can teach multiple tricks of the same direction (such as 'up') if you use various treats, so you can teach them a whole bunch! If your pet is a cat, who refuses to do tricks, how about you get out the Music Box instead and see if your cat can dance or sing? It takes patience, and just the right tune, but every cat has the ability to dance! (Sadly, dogz do not, unless you're using P3!)
-What about the hoop? Can you get your pet to jump through a hoop?
-Take your pet to the Snow Scene, dressed warmly of course. You wouldn't want them to get sick! See if they can ride the sled, if it's there, or meet up with the hosts in the scene. If you can find the hosts, grab a fun picture of your pet and one of the hosts close together. One that really captures a nice or funny moment. Later on, we'll make pictures for picture frames with this, and others!
-After you've had your fun, why not offer the Petz some hot soup? (Or hot chocolate, depending what you want it to be!) Also if you take them into the Family Room for another nap, try turning the fireplace on as soon as you get there. Do your Petz notice? If you do it at the right time to get their attention, they'll be very pleased!

As I have a Catz... I am not expecting this to go well. ^^; Lizard is expecting some yummy treats, clearly.

Aaaaaaaaand my low expectations were met. Lizard is not a trickster. She simply stalked the treats, gobbled them up the moment I let go, and if I DIDN'T let go, she'd grab it and let me dangle it (and her) in the air. She simply will. not. do. tricks. Again, I'm not surprised, as it's my understanding that Catz who will actually do tricks are pretty rare. So, as per the instructions, I tried the music box.

I will admit that I don't know what songs were playing, as I had the sound off. (Hey, my stepson's down here with me and playing Poken Tournament (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) and having both of those games playing sounds at once would have destroyed my few remaining brain cells.) But whatever they were, Lizard didn't seem very impressed... or at least didn't feel the need to dance.

Stalking and pouncing the music box? Just like the treats? Really, Lizard? I don't think you get the point of this.

Then she picked up the music box and brought it to my cursor. That's sweet, Lizard, really, but now I KNOW you don't get the point of this.

But finally, she started doing... this. Pawing the ground and rolling around. Does this count as dancing? I've seen Catz dance better than this before. I'll admit I was never one for teaching my Petz tricks, even in the pre-PetzA days, but I definitely played with the music box A LOT in my younger years, so yes, I know what Petz dancing looks like. This... fell a little flat.

Ah well. Maybe we'll have more luck with...

-What about the hoop? Can you get your pet to jump through a hoop?

That's a very good question! Let's find out.

Stalking it, AGAIN?! Come on now, Lizard, not everything is prey! I'm starting to think that the breed she acts more like is B&W Shorthair. She's done nothing but the stalking/pouncing this entire day.

I swear, I tried for a few minutes, held the hoop in different places, different angles... but nothing. Nadda. Well. This was quite the bust. I feel like we need a little vacation to ease my mood.

Got Lizard all dressed up! Only her tail was exposed to the elements. We're ready to hit the snow!

The Catz host, whose name I've forgotten came out pretty much right away. She and Lizard seemed fascinated by each other.

I ended up taking a number of cute pics of the two of them. I don't think they quite knew what to make of each other, but they definitely kept each other occupied.

...including this. WHY DO I HAVE SO MANY ADULT PETZ OBSESSED WITH GROOMING YOUNGER ONES?!

As for the sled, as you can see, Lizard actually enjoyed it! She hopped on it multiple times of her own doing. The first time she started off slowly, but the more she did it, the more and more confident she grew. Go Lizard! Doing any kinds of tricks may not be for you, but at least you'll show off your athletic skills!

Host cat thought she'd try too, but she just wiped out. ;)

I took her to the living room and gave her a cup of hot chocolate. She lapped it down pretty quickly! I know you can't exactly see it in the pic, but I did turn the fireplace on behind her. She didn't seem to notice. I guess the hot chocolate was all the warmth she needed.

Since she'd had a few treats and also the cup of hot chocolate, I figured she didn't need a whole lot of food, so I gave her a small can of tuna.

While she was eating, I did a few things online. I checked back on her, and found her like this... on the fireplace mantle, having brought the can of tuna with her. I had to laugh. What an silly place to leave your leftovers!

Once again, she didn't take any notice of the pillows until I plopped her down on them. But this time, she immediately curled up between two of them and dozed off. I usually sleep between pillows too, Lizard. And, in fact, it's been a long day, and I'm ready to do the same. :D Until next time!
