Petz: Egyptian Maus and German Shepherds

Bianca is my Egyptian mau... the last of the Petz 5 breeds that has a non-mutating texture! And they don't come in any other variants out of the adoption center, not even eye color, so I wasn't expecting much... and was very pleasantly surprised.

I was completely unaware that these guys had a white chest patch and white socks, both of which mutated. Just... yay! Colors other than white! Plus I got blue AND brown eyes in addition to green. Hooray. I'm happy with this result. WAY more than I was expecting.

Minnie is my German shepherd. They come in either cream/black or tan/black first generation. So I assumed, this would be pretty straightforward... I'd get the base color to probably mutate, the black on the backs to mutate as well, perhaps the face and/or ears...
Well.

...what the fuck game. Seriously. What the fuck. Am I breeding German shepherds or calicoes here?! And hell, I don't think even CALICOES patch this much! Just... what?!? I mean, once I get over my shock, these are some really cool looking puppies, but how in the hell did they get to looking like this in the first place?! Why are there so many patches?! Why do I have two solid-colored puppies in the mixture just to screw with us even further?! I NEED ANSWERS AND I KNOW I'M NOT GETTING ANY.
(ahem) And that bit of oddness concludes the twentieth breed out of thirty, which means next post will be another aside before delving into the official breeds again. If I don't get it posted later tonight, it should be up tomorrow. :)
