Petz Gameplay Day 8

Day eight:
-Time to go to the South Seas Island, so dress up and let's go meet those hosts! (They do get lonely too, after all!) How about these guys? Does your pet like any of them?
-Don't forget to grab another picture of your pet and the host!
-Have you taught your pet to fetch yet? While Dogz can catch toys in motion, Catz can't with certain toys, like frisbees. But they'll still pick it up and bring it to you once they can get it! Why not start a game of fetch? Maybe the host will play with you! How many times does the host drop the toy at your cursor? Or your own pet? Who can bring it to you ten times first?
-After that big adventure and game, let's share dinner with the host (if they'll eat) and head on home for a nap! More sand in our fur might mean we should be cleaned up again before bed though...
First of all, if you'll allow me to go back in time about a week... you know, when I saying how stressed I was during the entire month of July and was glad for August to be here and the stress to be gone... I need to go slap myself in the face for jinxing it.
(goes back in time)
(slaps)
(returns)
Okay then! Now that that's out of the way... nothing to make me feel better like playing some Petz.especially now that we actually have power in the entire house again and I actually, you know, CAN

Arrr! Hello there, Cap'n Lizard!

We got to the island and were immediately greet by this parrot. It didn't do a whole lot except jabber incessantly.

Of course, Lizard decided that stalking the blabbing parrot would be a great idea. Easy target because it doesn't move, sure, but I was still perfectly fine with it.

She stalked it for a few minutes, and I brought the jingle bell toy out for her to play with (and she was happy to have a new toy to stalk), as I was starting to get bored waiting for the host to arrive. Usually they show up right away. In fact, it took so long I actually had to check to make sure that I hadn't checked the "no host characters" box in settings. But then, FINALLY...

...the DOGZ host appeared?! Huh. Weird. The Catz hosts have been showing up this whole time, I assumed because of Lizard being, well, a Catz, so I was quite surprised. Maybe he showed up because he just wanted to check out the newcomer who stole his clothes. (Again?! Sigh. Original I ain't.)
-Don't forget to grab another picture of your pet and the host!

To my utter shock, they like each other! A lot! They even sat down and starting singing/howling together, which I don't know if I've seen a cat and a dog do together. (I possibly/probably have, but after all of these years of playing Petz, I can't remember.) Wasn't expecting that at all! Lizard is definitely friendlier than your average alley cat.

ha ha, oh man. I'll just start this off by saying that my attempts at any of this were pretty much total failures. With that said, here's the pictures...

As the prompt says, Catz can't really fetch the frisbee, so Lizard had grabbed this while it was still. Her favorite way of stalking/pouncing, as you all know by now.

Since I actually had a Dogz with me this time, I was hoping that he'd maybe play a game of fetch with me, but he totally ignored the frisbee whizzing through the air and instead decided to focus on that damn parrot.
And... I guess that's the only two pictures I got. Although believe me, I spent probably a good five to ten minutes on this task, hoping one of them would do something, even bring a toy to my cursor even once. But nope. Argh. Next!
-After that big adventure and game, let's share dinner with the host (if they'll eat) and head on home for a nap! More sand in our fur might mean we should be cleaned up again before bed though...

That's... not what they meant by "share".

No, Lizard! That's dog food! That's for the host! safhdlskfaskljfsafsas facepalm

I kept Lizard distracted from the dog food bowl by petting her for awhile, and our host was finally able to eat.

Lizard wouldn't eat, though. She was too distracted by the parrot. And seeing as she actually picked it up and brought it to my cursor a few times, I declare her the winner of the competition from the previous task. Granted, she won because the host did NOTHING, but at least it's something! (A task too late, but... still! WINNING!)

I took Lizard home, undressed her, and plopped her in the bathtub to wash all of the sand out of her fur.

...aaaaand she promptly jumped right out of the tub. :/

Sponge bath it is! Scrub a dub dub :D

And of course gotta make sure that lovely fur is dry and fluffy.

We then went to the living room, and Lizard got to have her supper just the way she likes it--alone and in peace.

And finally, after all that adventuring and excitement, she flopped down on a pillow and called it a night. :)
